Ask to see your child's daily assignment notebook consistently.
2. Become acquainted with
all of your child's teachers. We (you, the parent; and all of
his or her teachers) all work together to provide the most
appropriate educational experience for your child.
3. Provide a consistent
uninterrupted time for homework.
4. Provide a quiet
comfortable place to do homework away from the major family
activities and television. Most students are able to do
homework fairly independently.
5. Provide a
"spot" for your child to keep his school materials and
require that they always be put there. (You probably have one
spot for your car keys where you put them everyday when you come
home. That way you do not spend time looking for them in the
morning.) It's the same for their backpack and
homework. Mornings are too rushed to be hunting for things. 6.
