Shelley Handcock

Dr. Handcock is currently in her 24th year of education and 23rd year of service to Texas public schools. She has served as an English teacher at Duncanville High School, a TAP Master Teacher at Grand Prairie High School, an undergraduate college professor at Prairie View A&M University, a graduate school professor at the University of Central Arkansas and Dallas Baptist University, an assistant principal at Florence Hill Elementary, principal at Eisenhower Elementary, and principal at the Digital Arts & Technology Academy at Adams Middle School. 

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education and a Master of Education in Secondary Education from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She later earned her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. 

Dr. Handcock is honored to serve the Global Leadership Academy at Barbara Bush Elementary community and is deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside its students, staff, and families. She remains committed to making a positive impact on the educational experience of every student by fostering excellence, inspiring achievement, and empowering students to reach their highest potential.
